(More customer reviews)When I decided that I wanted a 55 inch set, I knew it was going to have to be LED in order to limit heat emission and reduce power consumption. I've already got a Samsung which I am pleased with, and figured that when I walked into my local brick and mortar to do the visual check, that it would be a formality. I looked at four comparable models (spec wise) from four different manufacturers (LG, Mitsubishi, Samsung, Sharp)and the pictures were all incredibly decent and evenly matched. Basically what it came down to for me was that I felt I was getting the best value for my dollar with this Mitsubishi set. All the specs are there for color and clarity, the black is deep and it's wireless capabilities do not require the purchase of a dongle. Additionally, this set has great sound to match its picture and the wireless subwoofer has the house rocking! While Samsung has a great picture, their sound pales in comparison to even my Panasonic Viera so I've got to say I'm very happy with my first Mitsubishi television.
