(More customer reviews)I originally purchased a Seagate 2TB drive with the USB 2.0 interface for backing up my 250gb hard drive. It took days (about 4) to back up 175gb. Browsing the drive was excruciatingly slow. Opted for the USB 3.0 kit and have seen vast improvements browsing files. Needed to backup system for preparation for Windows 7 install. Looking forward to seeing how much improvement in the system backing up the new OS.
The kit was easy to install. One note, the instructions did not show how to remove the 2.0 base and install the 3.0 base. The rest of the installation, card and software was quick and easy. Running Windows XP SP3, drive was not recognized. Software on Seagate drive was used to install the USB 3.0 drivers.
